Cheese and Nut Cream

ingredients for 4 people:
50 g walnut kernels
125 g Chester or old Gouda
125 Mr. Edamer
100 g of cream
sea-salt
black pepper, freshly ground
For garnish:
1/2 Bunch of curly parsley
some half walnuts

Preparation time: about 15 Minutes

1. Finely grind the walnuts and toast them in a dry pan over medium heat, until they start to smell. Let the nuts cool on a plate, otherwise they will brown in the hot pan.

2. Grate the Chester or Gouda and Edam very finely and mix with the ground nuts in a bowl.

3. Whip the cream until semi-stiff and fold in. Season the sauce with sea salt and pepper to taste.

4. Wash the parsley, Pan dry and divide into small bunches. Serve the cheese and nut cream garnished with the parsley bunches and half the walnuts. It goes well with wholemeal toast bread or wheat germ rolls .
