Garnishing is easier and faster with the practical little kitchen helpers. Some of these may already be in your kitchen, the others are available from the homeware store.
For most embellishments, all you need is a good one, sharp kitchen knife. You need a colored knife with a jagged blade, to bite-proof cooked vegetables into decorative, to cut grooved slices. You can cut out the trimmings with small cookie cutters with different motifs. The shapes should be between I and 5 cm in diameter. There are two different types of cutting devices for cutting hard-boiled chicken eggs. You divide the eggs either into even slices or into sixths. You can easily cut raw vegetables into fine strips with a Julienne knife. A canning knife is used for decoratively notching fruit and vegetables. For sprayed decorations such as stripes, A small piping bag with various smooth and jagged spouts is indispensable for polka dots or garlands.
